We're living in a time when active threat and lockdown drills are necessary. But the emotional trauma and anticipation of fear that students experience during these safety drills is not.
In support of best practices with school safety plans and guidelines and complimentary to nationally endorsed methods like Run, Hide, Fight and A.L.I.C.E., we take a KidTribe approach on teaching tough subjects through physical activity games and social-emotional exercises. Based on years of successfully moving and cueing children through our dance and physical activity programs along with the principles of Brain Breaks, this "watch and learn" video-based program gives teachers tips, tools and techniques to "trick" kids with simple and clear cues, leading students to organized action and smart safety.
Designed to be practiced often, the formation and motor activities become second nature and first choice of games for students.
This program is implemented as a STAFF DEVELOPMENT TEACHER TRAINING (video curriculum included). It's a favorite for CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS as well.
